so, i dropped my macbook yesterday and it died (blue screen start-up loop). i spent last night and some of today trying all of the fixes that could repair it, to no avail. defeated, i thought, “well, i was considering moving on to a new macbook soon anyway, so i’ll strike that iron now.” hit the store, bought the new macbook, got home, and while booting up the new one i decided to try turning on the old one…just to see. well, lo and behold it started up and is working like gangbusters, leaving me with two (almost) identical macbooks.

so, what now? do i return the new one and keep with the old, hoping the problem’s solved? or should i just let this course run and enjoy my new one, sending the old one out to the render farm?

EDIT: returned the newer one. now’ve remounted my old workhorse.
